Mercedes-Benz V-Class Arrives in India, priced at Rs 1.40 Crore

Luxury mobility in India is evolving rapidly, and Mercedes-Benz is once again setting the benchmark with the launch of the all-new V-Class. Designed to redefine private luxury travel, the latest V-Class blends expansive space, cutting-edge technology, and limousine-like comfort to create what the brand calls a “private suite on wheels.”

With its extra-long wheelbase configuration, advanced safety technology, and premium seating across all three rows, the V-Class aims to meet the growing demand among affluent Indian families and business leaders for exclusive, chauffeur-driven luxury mobility.

Designed for Space, Style, and Presence

The new V-Class arrives in India exclusively in an extra-long wheelbase configuration, measuring 5,370 mm in length with a 3,430 mm wheelbase. These generous dimensions translate into a remarkably spacious cabin that prioritizes passenger comfort above all else.

On the outside, the V-Class features a bold AMG Line design package with a star-pattern radiator grille, LED light strip, and distinctive AMG ventilation elements. Sitting on 18-inch AMG alloy wheels, the vehicle combines elegance with a strong road presence, making it unmistakably premium.

A Cabin That Feels Like First Class

Step inside and the V-Class immediately feels more like a luxury lounge than a conventional vehicle. The sophisticated six-seat layout is designed to deliver first-class comfort for every passenger.

The second row features individual luxury seats with massage and three-stage ventilation, along with calf support, deployable cupholders, and wireless charging. The third row brings a segment-first innovation: ventilated seats, ensuring passengers enjoy the same level of comfort as those in front.

Ambient lighting with 64 colour options, Lugano leather upholstery, and the premium Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos create an immersive atmosphere. With 15 speakers delivering 640 watts of output, the V-Class transforms every journey into a personal concert hall.

Passengers also benefit from THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control, sun-insulating glass with blinds, and the ENERGIZING Comfort programme, which combines lighting, sound, and climate settings into wellness-focused modes.

Power Meets Refinement

For the first time in India, the V-Class introduces a petrol powertrain, expanding the model’s appeal to a wider range of customers.

The petrol version features a 2.0-litre engine producing 228 bhp, supported by a 15 kW mild hybrid system for improved efficiency and responsiveness. A diesel option delivering 233 bhp is also available, catering to customers who prefer long-distance efficiency.

Both engines are paired with the smooth 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, ensuring effortless performance whether the vehicle is gliding through city traffic or cruising on highways.

Tailored for Indian Roads

A standout highlight of the V-Class is its AIRMATIC air suspension, specially developed to suit Indian road conditions. Remarkably, India becomes the first market globally to offer this system on both petrol and diesel variants, ensuring superior ride comfort and adaptive handling across varying terrains.

Safety Without Compromise

Luxury is complemented by advanced safety technology. The V-Class features seven standard airbags, including full-length window airbags stretching from A-pillar to D-pillar.

Driver assistance systems include:

  • Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist
  • Blind Spot Assist with Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • ATTENTION ASSIST driver monitoring system
  • Parking package with 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist

Together, these features make the V-Class one of the safest vehicles in its segment.

Strengthening the Make in India Vision

Reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Indian market, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that local production of the V-Class will begin in India. This strategic move aligns with the company’s broader manufacturing investments in the country and follows the announcement of local production for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS.

A New Category of Luxury Mobility

With bookings now open with a ₹5 lakh reservation amount, the new V-Class is set to attract customers who prioritize privacy, space, and uncompromising luxury in their daily travel.

More than just a luxury van, the V-Class represents a new lifestyle statement—a sanctuary on wheels designed for those who want the freedom to travel in comfort, surrounded by technology, elegance, and space.
